The Dallas Mavericks and New Jersey Nets have reached an agreement to bring Jason Kidd on a nine-player deal.

The Mavericks will give the rebuilding Nets Keith Van Horn in addition to Trenton Hassell, as well as Devin Harris, DeSagana Diop, Maurice Ager, two first-round picks and cash

It must be remembered that this negotiation failed when ex-Laker Devean George refused to take part in the trade. He had a no-trade clause in his contract.

Today, both participating teams will submit trade papers to the NBA office and it will be known late in the day whether this deal will push through.

Should things go smoothly as planned, the 1995 co-Rookie of the Year will head back to his mother ballclub, and New Orleans as well Wednesday night when they face Chris Paul and company.

Kidd could bring that veteran leadership and savvy courtmanship that Devin Harris could in a year or two from now. He might also be that last piece to put the Mavs over the hump as they try to avenge a shameful first round exit from last year’s playoff against Golden State and and a breakdown from the NBA Finals against Dwyane Wade and the Miami Heat.

*** i pray dear Lord that I could grab a Kidd jersey soon

Ray Allen made sure coaches heard him that he’s not a substitute player only.

Allen drilled in three treys inside the three-minute mark as he and James resisted the East’ spirited comeback, 134-128 Sunday night at the annual superstar showcase at New Orleans Arena, New Orleans LA.

Hometown favorite Chris Paul led the East in the last canto as they upped the ante and let go off a 19-4 run to give East the lead 112-110. Paul scored 16points, 14 assists, four steals and three rebounds.

From thereon, each team traded basket after basket after basket. Only for the West to slowly falter three minutes into the final buzzer.

“They beat up on us pretty bad last year in Las Vegas and as the East, we didn’t want to allow that to happen again,” , James said.

Lebron James won his second All Star game MVP. He won his first at 2006 All Star game in Houston.

just NASTY!!! ***this just means serious business for those awaiting Cleveland in the playoffs

After Allen drained his bombs, Lebron rammed into thethe West’ defense and slammed one home to finally put a stamp on his domination of the game 55 seconds left in the game.

Lebron topscored for the East with 27points, nine assists and eight rebounds. He almost flirted with a rare triple double of which only Michael Jordan did accomplished.Jordan had 14points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists back in 1997’s all star which ironically was held in Cleveland.

Paul had serious help from first-timer Brandon Roy of the Portland Trailblazers, Suns Amare Stoudemire and Nuggets’ Carmelo Anthony. They each scored 18points apiece.

The first half saw both teams showcasing their skills and showmanship. Allen Iverson showed otherwise with six turnovers.

Lakers’ Kobe Bryant, nursing an injured pinkie started the game however, was pulled out quickly after tipoff. He said he doesn’t want to be fined and just wanted to be there for the fans.

Caron Butler of Washington and Kevin Garnett of Boston showed up in suits though. Ray Allen substituted for Butler while Garnett was replaced by Rasheed Wallace.

The East leads the West, 35-21 in overall standings.

Thank you NBA
