Jason Kidd became just the third player in the NBA to post 100 triple-double or more in a career.

Kidd, the Mavs second overall pick in the 1994 NBA draft scored 27points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists over Chris Paul and the Hornets Wednesday night.

He joins Oscar “the Big O” Robertson and Earvin “Magic” Johnson as the only players to post such stats. Robertson has 181 while Magic garnered 138.

And here are the pairings for this year’s NBA Playoffs:

Eastern Conference

The old 1. Boston Garden magic is back with the Celtics and KG versus the comebacking 8. Atlanta Hawks which last saw the playoffs in 1999.

Playoff-tested 2. Detroit Pistons has been flying low under the radar lately which means more danger for their opponents. Expect Chauncey Billups, Rip Hamilton and Sheed to carry the cudgels for the Motor City as they face seventh seed new-look 7. Philadelphia.

Young and armed with the biggest package in the NBA right now in Dwight Howard, the 3. Orlando Magic sure ain’t looking beyond Chris Bosh’s the 6. Toronto Raptors.

LeBron James, 4. Cleveland Cavaliers, might be playing hurt but the King and his faithful servants sure looks to defend their hold in the playoffs against the revitalized Agent Zero and the 5. Washington Wizards.

Western Conference ***just how tough it is to crack the West? All teams in this particular conference have won no less than 50 games.

Kobe, 1. LA Lakers, sure looks dangerous more than ever in the postseason but they will have their hands plentiful when they face The Answer Allen Iverson with Carmelo Anthony, the 8. Denver Nuggets.

No one expected the 2. Hornets to come this far and hold the second seat, but there is more to Chris Paul as he leads them against the more settled 7. Dallas Mavericks with Mr. Triple-Double Jason Kidd and 2007 MVP Dirk Nowitzki.

This could be a conference finals repeat, just like what the fans has been clamoring for. Its the Big Fundamental TD with French general Tony Parker and the 3. Spurs against the Big Diesel under the courtmanship of Steve Nash, 6. Phoenix Suns. Look out for Manu Ginobili and Amare Stoudemire to be the main difference in this series.

Will Deron Williams exert his dominance at the point while playing smooth 4. Jazz basketball? Or will this be the year T-Mac and the 5. Rockets finally lifting-off to the second round and beyond?

The drama continues. This is the NBA Playoffs.
